Tania Stanley, RSW, MEd (Counselling), LCT

I began my career in the helping profession over 20 years ago. I initially worked with individuals and families in the Income, Employment and Career Counselling field for over 10 years until I completed my 2nd degree, in Social Work, in 2011.

I developed experience helping patients in hospitals on a variety of units from palliative care, oncology to psychiatry, as well as those in the community struggling with mental health and addictions.

I hold a Master of Education degree in Counselling from the University of New Brunswick and I am a Licensed Counselling Therapist with The College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick. I am also a Registered Social Worker with the NBASW and an approved tele-counsellor with NSCSW for clients based in Nova Scotia.

I have completed professional development training in the following areas:

  • Cognitive Behavior Therapy
  • Treating Survivors of Trauma
  • Cognitive Processing Therapy
  • Level 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy
  • Mind Body Stress Reduction
  • Grief and Loss
  • Addiction Recovery
  • Interpersonal Therapy
  • Reiki Level 2

I practice from a holistic and integrated approach and I believe in the importance of a balanced mind, body, and soul. I will aim to ensure you have the support, appropriate information, and skills to best assist you through your process of healing and growth.

Due to limited finances or time, or if you simply prefer a self-directed approach, I can offer a one-session assessment that will include self-help resources such as relevant books, workbooks, videos, pod casts, or workshops, etc.
