Tania Margeson, RSW, MEd (Counselling),  LCT-C

I began my career in the helpiTania Margeson, RSWTania Margeson, RSWng profession over 19 years ago. I initially worked with individuals and families in the Income, Employment and Career Counselling field for over 10 years until I completed my 2nd degree, in Social Work, in 2011.

I developed experience helping patients in a hospital setting in a variety of units from palliative care, oncology, to psychiatry, as well as those in the community struggling with mental health and addictions.

I hold a Master of Education degree in Counselling from the University of New Brunswick and I am a Licensed Counselling Therapist - C with The College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick. I am also a Registered Social Worker with the NBASW. 

I have completed professional development training in the following areas:

            Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

            Treating Survivors of Trauma

            Motivational Interviewing

            Mind Body Stress Reduction

            Grief and Loss

            Addiction Recovery

            Critical Incident Stress Management

            Road to Mental Health Readiness (R2MR)

In regards to couples counselling, I have completed Level 1 and 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy and am very passionate about this evidence-based model. 

My practice areas are with adults; primarily couples, parenting and blended families, grief and loss, addiction recovery, and workplace stress management.

I practice from a holistic and integrated approach and I believe in the benefits of a balanced mind, body and soul. I will do my best to ensure you have the support, appropriate information and skills to best assist you through your process of healing and growth.
